I started growing Typha Latifolia a few years ago in my ponds, and I started to understand why this plant was revered by indigenous people across the globe. Although it is an invasive species in Hawaii. In the UK, it is one of many native wetland species, and it's an important plant for carbon capture. The annual biomass output from Typha is phenomenal.
